Thanks to a strong Lidl-Trek team, Jonathan Milan secured his third stage victory in the Giro. The stage was tailor-made for him, and other sprinters like Tim Merlier and Kaden Groves could not take revenge for their previous lost sprints.

Stage 13 Overview
The 13th stage of this Giro took us from Riccione to Cento, a flat stage. There was much speculation beforehand about whether it would be a day for crosswinds. Initially, it seemed like a calm stage until the men of Ineos split the peloton. Crosswind alert! Quickly, gaps formed, and a few important riders were dropped, including the eventual winner Jonathan Milan, who found himself in the second group. Fortunately for the Italian sprinting sensation, the groups came back together.
Strong Lidl-Trek
Jonathan Milan's third stage victory was largely due to his strong team. The Lidl-Trek formation once again proved they have the best lead-out train in this Giro. A strong Jasper Stuyven set up the team perfectly 800 meters from the finish. Then it was Edward Theuns' turn, and finally, Simone Consonni who positioned Jonathan Milan perfectly. No one could threaten the powerful Milan, and he sprinted to the stage win.

Tomorrow's Stage

Tomorrow, it's time for the time trialists again! Will we see another duel between Filippo Ganna and Tadej Pogacar? It certainly looks that way, but this time it’s a flat course, giving Ganna an advantage. The main battle will be among the general classification contenders. What can Geraint Thomas do, for example, or will Dani Martinez surprise with a strong time trial? In any case, tomorrow the overall standings will look completely different again.
